As it often is this too was born on necessity, a user had converted from Graupner to Jeti and had quite many HoTT sensors in his models. Choices are to either replace all of them to Jeti or create a way to use them with Jeti, user decided to use the convert-way. And that’s not a bad choice, community got a great and versatile converter. So let’s dive into the converter, construction and code to see what we can find.
HoTT2Duplex is the brainchild of Github-user Made4RC, this is news-post, not a RC-Thoughts project.
What you need is a Arduino Pro Mini (or Nano, I assume), two resistors between 1.5kΩ and 4.7kΩ. (I have found that 2.4kΩ to Jeti works best) And of course some wire.
Schematic is simple:
Wires going to left in picture is for HoTT-sensor, wires to the right is to Jeti receiver. Schematic is as simple it can be and this also makes for neat package with some heat-shrink on.
